The Jewel «The Eye of Time», a symbol of discovery and desire, is a mystical invitation by the Perfumer to explore light and shadow. The dark, narcotic heart of precious woods, contrasting with the dazzling whiteness of solar flowers envelops the skin with an enigmatic and majestic aura.
«Knowing how to look is a way to invent. »
The jewel “The Eye of Times” symbolises discovery, sensuality, and the power of imagination and creation. In 1930, Salvador Dalí set up a home in a small fisherman's hut in Portlligat. From that initial construction, over the course of forty years, he created his own surrealist domain. In this labyrinthine house, from all the rooms, he had the vision of the landscape which is a constant point of reference in Dalí's work: the Portlligat bay. It’s also the setting of the unique love story between Salvador Dali and Gala for more than five decades. Gala, the artist’s wife, his muse, his agent, his partner, his only female model and his main subject. The artist’s eye rests daily on this place and the loved one, so dear to him and he transfigures them in his work. Inspired by the work and life of Salvador Dali, Benoît Bergia created an accord with a marked character to convey sincere emotion, while cultivating a modern style.
The Eye of Time brooch was created in 1949 as a gift for Gala Dali. The outer boundaries of the brooch are encrusted with diamonds, in the corner of the eye is a ruby cabochon cut, and in the middle is a Swiss clockwork.
