The delicately perched butterfly symbolizes the soul and quest for eternity and an invitation by Master Perfumer to an imaginary flight. The fragrance is distinguished by its luminous floral bouquet, elaborated on a white flower accord of Indian tuberose, lily of the valley, and white lily. Greek legend tells of how Aphrodite, wild with envy at the sight of an immaculate white lily gave the flower a large unsightly stamen at its very centre. Here, its radiance is sublimed by an exclusive natural quality of Northern Africa orange blossom absolute. In the head notes, the Master perfumer mixed a drop of vibrant red peppercorn from Madagascar with just a splash of neroli bigarade essence from the Mediterranean (Morocco and Tunisia) to evoke a sense of freshness while a tangy accord of blackcurrant and violet leaf offers a green tone to the signature. As a base, the woody feeling is born from sandalwood, cedar wood and vanilla accord as a veil of white musks brings sensuality and addiction to the trail.
The bigaradier is a tree that requires a warm and sunny climate to produce bitter oranges. First cultivated extensively by the Moors, in the 19th century it became one of the most emblematic trees of southern France. From Grasse to Menton, more than 350 000 bigaradiers displayed their troubling scent in the French landscape. According to the legend, the bitter orange would be the Golden Apple from the garden of Hesperides, the eleventh labour of Hercules. At the end of the 17th century, Anne Marie Orsini, duchess of Bracciano and Princess of Nerola in Italy, turned the essence of bitter orange into a perfume by using it to perfume her gloves and her bath. Since then, the name Neroli has been used to describe this essence.

The Chalice of Life jewellery piece, crafted in 1965, symbolizes the rebirth and transformation of the soul. This exquisite creation is meticulously crafted from yellow gold, and adorned with yellow diamonds, natural rubies, sapphires, emeralds, and lapis lazuli.
