How do I find the perfect headband for me?

There are no rules about who can and cannot wear headbands – the beauty of investing in beautiful hair accessories like headbands is that you can find pieces that are unique to you, your style, and what you like wearing. However, if you’re having trouble picking out a headband for yourself, here are some things to think about: 

Consider your personal style: do you dress casually, or formally for work? Are you someone that favours a colourful wardrobe, or do you leave the pop of colour to the accessories? 

Consider your hair colour: If you have dark hair, you may want to avoid headbands that are of a similar shade to your hair colour if you’re looking for a statement piece. On the other hand, if you want something classic that’s not going to draw away from your outfit, a headband of a similar shade to your own hair colour is also a good idea!

Are headbands bad for your hair?

High-quality headbands should not cause any damage to your hair. Problems can arise with cheap materials, if the headband is too tight, or if the materials tug on the hair strands, causing damage.

The Paris Mode range of headbands are made of the highest quality materials that will not pull, tear, or damage the hair strands. Generally speaking, hair damage occurs when hair accessories are too tight and cause high tension (like a hair ponytail or bun). If you do feel like your headbands are causing tension to your scalp or hair, then it is recommended that you find one with softer materials and less tension.
