Paris Mode

Paris Mode Hair accessories began in 1986 by Madeline Petit and Bernard Thiesson, who shared a vision of bringing Parisian fashion to Australia.  Landing on the shores of Sydney, the label hit the ground running and within months Paris Mode hair accessories were stocked in luxury department store David Jones, where they are still carried to this day. It wasn’t long after this that Paris Mode expanded beyond hair accessories to also offer handbags, jewellery, fragrances and fashion, now carrying a wide range of French products. In the three decades since the label’s inception Paris Mode’s dedication to quality and excellence in craftsmanship has not wavered.

Timeless Hair Accessories

Hair accessories remain at the core of Paris Mode, with the Australian label specialising in eco-friendly hair accessories.  From humble beginnings offering only hair bows and headbands, Paris Mode now offers an extensive range of hair accessories including claw clips, side combs, barrettes and more. Each style is also available in a wide range of colours and on-trend prints and finishes.

Majority of the hair clips from Paris Mode are crafted from eco-friendly acetate. This natural, renewable material is made by extracting cellulose fibres from cotton and wood pulp, and offers an eco-friendly alternative to the traditional plastics that are often used in hair accessories. Not only is acetate better for the planet, it also produces richer colours with a uniquely glossy finish.

Eco-Friendly Jewellery

In addition to hair accessories, Paris Mode is also renowned for creating timeless jewellery with a Parisian influence. Earrings, bracelets, rings, necklaces, brooches and more are available online in contemporary, yet timeless designs. Popular styles include the camellia jewellery range, which features Swarovski crystal and pearl embellishments, or the animal print collections in tortoiseshell acetate. Limited edition styles are also highly anticipated and feature seasonal colours and prints. The jewellery is finished with sterling silver backs, clasps and other hardware, ensuring the highest possible standard.

For Paris Mode quality is always paramount. Each and every piece is designed in Sydney, and then hand crafted in France by expert craftsman who combine traditional methods and technology, producing the highest quality standards. It is this meticulous approach to design and construction that sets Paris Mode apart, and defines the label as a true industry leader."
